Red Hat OpenStack Administration I (CL110) is designed for system administrators who are intending to implement a cloud computing environment using Red Hat OpenStack® Platform.

This course is based on Red Hat OpenStack Platform 8 (Liberty).

Course overview

This course will teach students to install a proof-of-concept, configure, use, and maintain Red Hat OpenStack Platform. This course covers the core services: identity (Keystone), block storage (Cinder), image (Glance), networking (Neutron), compute and controller (Nova), and dashboard (Horizon).

CL210 - Red Hat OpenStack Administration II

Install, configure, and maintain a cloud computing environment using Red Hat OpenStack Platform

This course teaches system administrators how to implement a cloud-computing environment using Red Hat® OpenStack® Platform, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.

This course can also help your prepare for the Red Hat Certified System Administrator in Red Hat OpenStack exam (EX210).

This course is based on Red Hat OpenStack Platform 8 (Liberty).

Course overview

This course will also begin the transition from administering OpenStack using Horizon to using the unified command-line interface. Exam competencies covered in the course include: install and configure Red Hat OpenStack Platform (using OpenStack Director), manage users, projects, flavors, roles, images, networking, and block storage, automation (scale-out and scale-back), and build a customized image.

    Learn to deploy, manage, and configure storage and OpenStack

    The Red Hat OpenStack Administration III (CL310) course provides extensive hands-on training for experienced system administrators in how to use the distributed storage features of Red Hat® Ceph Storage and the networking capabilities of OpenStack® Neutron. Students will set up a Ceph environment and its configuration as a back end for OpenStack, and configure and use the advanced features of OpenStack Neutron.

    • Configure Red Hat Ceph Storage as a storage back end for OpenStack Services
    • Manage networks based on VXLAN, VLAN and GRE
    • Deploy and using load-balancer-as-a-service (LBaaS) in OpenStack Neutron
    • Troubleshoot Neutron issues

    • Integrate Ceph with the OpenStack Glance Image service to store OpenStack images in Ceph.
    • Integrate Ceph with the OpenStack Cinder Block Storage service to provide OpenStack volumes in Ceph.
    • Integrate Ceph with the OpenStack Nova compute service to store instance data in Ceph.
    • Review networking concepts and deploy OpenStack with a separate Neutron networking node.
